As a result, the company currently has a flourishing portfolio of almost 10,000 existing homes or homes under development for seniors.POSITION SUMMARYThis position is a Construction, Design, and Development based position that provides bookkeeping and accounting related responsibilities for the Construction and Design Teams. The Role will be expected to work under the supervision of Project Manager and Director of Design. This position reports directly to Vice President of Construction and Development.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops system to account for financial transactions and maintaining/adding accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
• Maintains records of financial transactions for each project; including budgets, contract amounts, change orders, invoices, pay applications, etc.
• Act as liaison for accounts payable and finance team for vendors in regards to tracking Payments and draw schedules. This includes vendors requiring payment from both Discovery Development and Discovery Design Concepts.
• Track Budgets and Invoices once they are established. Obtain necessary W9s from vendors and tracked to each project budget and payment tracker.
• Initiate internal invoices for both Discovery Development and Discovery Design to Communities or Equity Funding Group to obtain payments as needed based on project specifics.
• Prepare monthly pay applications and invoices. Collect/track all necessary lien waivers necessary for payments.
• Track accounts payable and accounts receivable for Discovery Design Concepts and Discovery Development Group for timely receipt of payments and outgoing invoices.
• Reconciling Credit Card statementsQUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess fluent computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, NitroPro, and other Microsoft based software.
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or relevant experience required
