Position Summary:
Reporting to the CEO, and COO the DM will effectively lead, manage, and have broad responsibilities for all aspects of marketing for the parent company & subsidiary organizations. This individual will have a mandate to grow the company's marketing capabilities and to help lead the organization towards a cross-functional, team-based approach. This individual will lead the strategic development and provide guidance & ideation on relevant brand/business programs & initiatives to enhance brand/corporate purpose and positioning while identifying and developing key growth opportunities to ensure a share of the market, profit, and volume growth.
This position will be an integral part of the executive leadership team tasked with the scale and growth of the organization for IPO, M&A, Partnerships, or substantial capitalization.
Position Responsibilities:
--- Collaborate with all internal cross-functional groups (tech, sales, ops, etc) to assist in any additional business needs that can help drive awareness of e2 businesses (investor/selling/business presentations)
--- Lead the development of business/marketing strategy for base business (e2) and subsidiary companies to help drive long-term growth and overall portfolio management.
--- Assess market intelligence, customer feedback, and external trends to develop insights to inform long-term growth strategies and internal resource allocation (consumer, customer, and competition).
--- Outline marketing content strategy and needs for "house of brands".
--- Build a network of vendor partners that can meet the design & execution of strategic initiatives.
--- Lead the conception, innovation, strategic development, and implementation of brand (& content) marketing plans. This includes briefing vendor partners, managing designers/agencies (i.e the creative process), review & amending creative during dev. process, and approval management via leadership.
Potential Mediums: Website, marketing & sales materials (print/digital), Promotional materials, PR, Partnerships, Trade Adv, Investor, etc
--- Oversee all project and budget management of marketing development
--- Determine if any research is needed (customer) either pre, during (development), post-launch.
--- Partners with the sales organization to manage customer relationships and facilitate/execute key go-to-market tactics.
--- Work with key business leads to set KPIs for the marketing department for annual planning purposes
--- Building, developing, and leading a strong marketing team once the business begins to scale in size.
--- Potentially lead both investor and community relations
Qualifications and Requirements:
Leadership:
--- 10-15+ yrs of marketing leadership and managing high performing teams
--- Experience building teams and business/marketing capabilities; Proven ability to recruit, train, & develop
--- Self-starter with a high degree of intellectual curiosity, continuous improvement mindset & learning agility
--- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to effectively handle conflict and employ a systematic approach to finding solutions
--- Excellent communication skills - both formal and informal with the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization (verbal, written, and presentation)
Technical:
--- Experience leading a great portfolio of brands/companies and balancing traditional and non-traditional (B2B) marketing tactics to achieve goals
--- Well-rounded Marketing background: B2B, Brand Activation & Marketing Communication, Strategy, Development/Innovation
--- Demonstrated track record of accomplishing objectives and meeting deadlines.
--- Strong project and influence management skills to lead cross-functional project teams including multiple disciplines (marketing, sales, finance, manufacturing, IT/Tech) to enable interconnected leadership
--- Financial acumen - ability to apply financial management principles to ensure fiscally sound decisions. Attention to detail (both financial & business)
--- Exposure to new product commercialization and start-up procedures
--- Ability to deal with ambiguity and incomplete information
--- Client management & sales facilitation
--- High proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Organizational:
--- Comfort operating in a lean organization that is more entrepreneurial in nature
--- Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to be resourceful to find solutions, using a "can do" attitude
--- Demonstrated ability (experience and results) managing multiple businesses simultaneously
Relocation to our Corporate office in Florida is required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year, based on experience.
