Job Description:

Regional Personal Training ManagerWe are looking for an experienced leader in growing our training department across a multi-club organization. In this role, you will be responsible to grow the business, execute policy, while hiring & training the staff.Staffing and Development Maintain a fully engaged and high performing fitness team that aligns with company values and goals. To achieve this objective, the R-PTM will:

  • Hire develop and manage performance of qualified PTM and PT.
  • Train & develop other staff as needed regarding fitness and supplementation presentations, emphasizing the impact of these concerning membership retention.
  • Conduct weekly (or as-needed) meetings with direct reports to review performance and offer direction, motivation and guidance toward achieving individual and company goals. Offer career growth and advancement opportunities as warranted.
  • Manage the PTM and PT schedules including staying within budgeted non-session hours as submitted to and approved by the CM.
  • Mediates club employee relations matters for all club fitness employees.
  • Discipline staff under the guidance of your direct supervisor. Fitness ManagementEnsure that all club members have access to a highly trained and professional fitness staff that are able to provide fitness counseling, training and programs within standard. The Regional PT Manager is responsible for the successful attainment of fitness and supplement revenue goals. To achieve these objectives the Regional PT Manager will: Ensure that all PTM and Personal Trainers are delivering high quality programs to their clients.
    • Develop weekly work schedules for fitness staff.
    • Ensure that staff properly records their Time & Labor.
    • Provide member service and support related to fitness servicing issues.
    • Assist members and encourage their involvement in fitness services.
    • Ensure accurate administration of Personal Training including measurement tracking, workout programs etc.
    • Hire, Train and develop new PTM and PT.
    • Regularly train staff on industry updates and promote a continuous learning environment. Sales and ServiceResponsible for achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue objectives set forth by the Company with regards to training services and supplements. You must enjoy and have a passion for fitness sales including membership and PT.
      • Must be able to overcome objections.
      • Establish goals for locations and staffs.
      • Train staffs on sales techniques to improve conversions, create referrals, process for floor pulls, etc.
      • Develop marketing programs to; promote the trainers, create energy through innovative events, post engaging video through all SM platforms. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
        • Knowledge of Personal Training technique and program design.
        • Must be able to adjust and operate all club equipment.
        • Experience in coaching/motivating groups.
        • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
        • Able to generate, maintain & demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic & positive attitude.
        • Possesses a strong member service focus.
        • Responds professionally to requests and inquires from guests, members and staff. Certifications: (One or more of the following certifications)
          • American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
          • American Council on Exercise (ACE)
          • International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA)
          • National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
          • Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES)
          • Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES
          • National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA)
          • National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT)
          • National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
          • Certified Strength and Conditional Specialist (CSCS) Experience
            • 3-5 years as a Personal Trainer.
            • 3-5 years Prior management experience in fitness.
            • Preferred: Consultative sales experience. Physical Requirements:
              • Ability to work in club environment. move about club floors and rooms; review, revise, create club paperwork; communicate with employees, members, and the public.
              • Regularly required to demonstrate or explain proper physical fitness activities, techniques and procedures.
              • Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds.
              • Travel: Must be able to travel by car up to 50% of the time.
