• The Senior Landscape Designer is an experienced non-licensed landscape designer that assists project leadership in all aspects of project design, development, and documentation activities through all phases of a project.Reporting Structure
  • The Senior Landscape Designer reports directly to the Project Manager and will, at times, report directly to Project Directors, Associate Principals, and Principals.
    Responsibilities
    ---Administrative
    • Works collaboratively with other employees;
    • Understands office policy, standards, and procedures;
    • Responsible for office IT management, office supplies,Project
      • Attends office staff meetings and project scheduling meetings;
      • Performs project tasks reliably and effectively and in a timely manner;
      • Collaborates with and effectively communicates with project teams and consultants;
      • Prepares project research and participates in concept development;
      • Prepares project correspondence, documentation, and presentation materials;
      • Leads project meetings and client presentations;
      • Prepares project documents that meet design, schedule, and budget expectations;
      • Prepares project takeoffs and cost estimates;
      • Prepares project specifications;
      • Assists with Construction Administration activities and makes site visits;
      • Manages digital project files;
      • Reports project progress to Project Manager;Marketing
        • Actively participates in marketing and develops client and consultant relationships; Training
          • Delegates to and serves as a mentor to Landscape Desiners and Interns;
          • Pursues continuing education opportunities;
          • Participates in performance evaluations with Landscape Designers and Interns
            
            Qualifications
            Education
            • Landscape Architecture degree from accredited BLA or MLA university programExperience and Skills
              • Minimum of 4 years of professional design experience in private practice design or planning firm;
              • Well-developed landscape design skills and AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, InDesign, and Microsoft Office software skills;
              • Well-developed organizational and time management
              • Excellent interpersonal communications skills;
              • Well-developed collaboration and task management skills;
              • Well-developed contract document layout and production knowledge;
