OverviewThe Landscape Designer is a non-licensed designer that assists project leadership in all aspects of project design, development, and documentation through all phases of a project. The Staff Designer prepares, coordinates, and assembles project documents as directed by project leadership.
Responsibilities

• Attends office staff and scheduling meetings
• Performs project tasks reliably and effectively and in a timely manner
• Collaborates and effectively communicates with project team and consultants
• Prepares project correspondence, documentation, and presentation materials
• Assists with and attends project meetings and client presentations
• Prepares meeting minutes
• Responds to Project Manager and Client requests
• Prepares and coordinates CAD and other project documents
• Prepares presentation materials and participates in project presentations
• Prepares takeoffs and assists with cost estimation
• Assists with preparation of project specifications
• Assists with Construction Administration activities and makes site visits
• Assists in project submittal review
• Manages project files
• Prepares and organizes project materials
• Reports progress to Project Manager
  Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture
  • 0-2 years of professional design experience in private practice design firm
  • Well-developed skills with AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, InDesign, and Microsoft Office suite software. REVIT skills are a plus
  • Advanced digital and hand rendering skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Contract document layout and production knowledge
  • Recommended: one or more student internships with private-practice design firm
